Sonoran Prevention Works virtual “South Mountain Community Training – Overdose Prevention, Recognition and Response” (in Spanish), sponsored by the South Mountain WORKS Coalition.
Learn more about how to prevent, recognize and respond to an opioid overdose, including how to use the life-saving medication Naloxone/Narcan. Free Naloxone kits provided!
This training is geared toward South Mountain community members who speak Spanish & who use substances, family, friends, and community members who work with folks at risk of opioid overdose.
Treatment and healthcare professionals are asked to check out our Statewide Professional training schedule to attend those instead of Community trainings: https://spwaz.org/upcoming-trainings/ We recognize the potential privacy and safety concerns community members may have in such mixed company.
Shomari Jackson with South Mountain WORKS Coalition will also cover ways South Mountain community members can be involved and engage with harm reduction in their community.
