Virtual Day of Movement 2021 | Indigenous People’s Day Arizona

October 10 @ 5:00 am - 9:00 pm

Indigenous Peoples Day AZ invites everyone, everywhere to participate in our Virtual Day of Movement
You decide how you will move today & for how long – walk, run, bike, hike, horseback ride, skateboard, martial arts, yoga, play, dance, plant, stretch, skate….move!
This year’s Indigenous People’s Day AZ theme is “Relations are Medicine ”. As you take time to move today, think about everything you relate and are in relation to – yourself, your family, your community, the world, nature, animals, your breath, your spirit, your mind, your body – how are all these things good medicine, how are they healing and how can we honor these relations today and every day.
Share your stories & pictures using #IPDAZ21#DayOfMovement2021 and/or post to our event page here.
Inspirational Speaker videos will be shared throughout the day from –
* Mildred Ethel Youvella (Tewa) Runner/Teacher
* Taté Walker (Mniconjou Lakota) Storyteller
* Tomas Karmelo Amaya (Yoeme) Director/Writer/Photographer
* Jaclyn Roessel (Navajo) Writer/Coach/Consultant
* Jon Sombrero (Navajo) Air Force ROTC Teacher/Master Sargeant Retired
